"My great grandfather McKinsey was first married to Serena MANSKER, daughter of Robert Bruce MANSKER. They had a child who died. After they were divorced, Serena married Richard M JOHNSON who was born in Carter, IL., not related to us. Some records of this marriage were poorly transcribed and she is listed as "Lorena MAULKER". 1Ginny Chasteen, Correspondence w/Ginny Chasteen, Ancestry Message Boards>Surnames>Buis, Ancestry.com, www.ancestry.com. "Jesse and Charity were the parents of my Great-grandfather George Buis. I am the grandaughter of his son Archie Buis(e) who added the (e) to the last name because they worked in the same place for awhile. George was married several times, but my grandfather's mother was Cordy (probably Cordelia). He had two sisters - Ada and Agnes. There are still some elderly Buis's in Illinois. A Jesse and a George. I think one of them recently died. I have more info at home. I've seen the picture of Jesse and Charity."
